And if you try what are the rules?

Human relationships have always been difficult to navigate. Let alone

today, when our emotional needs are becoming more complex and complicated by the day.

Unfortunately, we live in a time when people find it difficult to achieve what they most deeply desire, namely healthy personal relationships that offer emotional fulfillment and joy.

Social media constantly promise the widening of our social circle. Yet, more personal relationships, such as romance and friendships are going through an unprecedented crisis and are actually declining.

The COVID-19 pandemic surely exacerbated this problem as it hindered the possibility of real life meet ups. On the bright side though, it gave people the opportunity to become comfortable with the online world. One sector that greatly benefited from this shift in attitudes was the online dating scene .

Singles nowadays are much more at ease using dating apps and any previous stigma attached to them is rapidly dissolving.

According to Online dating statistics provided by Pew Research Center, 48% of 18 to 29 year old singles and 38% of 30- to 49 year old singles said that they have used a dating site or app.

Dating apps are definitely worth the try because they allow us to connect and meet with people we would otherwise not have had the opportunity to meet.

Singles and anybody looking to create new friendships now have the opportunity to filter out their ideal match not just based on location but also based on their actual needs and wants.

Cecily Gold Moore, Bumble’s Director of Community Experience, in a Knot article observed that “We find that people who meet online are more in tune with what they’re looking for, and what they want to get out of the experience”.

Dating online as with everything in life comes with its own set of rules.

We feel that, one of the big players in the field actually provide a good rules list on playing the online game correctly.
